Organizers of the Milton Fourth of July Celebration have had to pull the trigger and cancel the carnival, athletic tournaments, food and beer stands, entertainment, and the fireworks show. Brian Paul with the Milton FFA Alumni says the event costs $40-thousand and contracts were coming up. Paul says any attempt at postponing the event, and then having to cancel, would have been devastating to the non-profits involved. He says all parties concerned agreed the financial and health risks just weren’t worth it. He says parade organizers are still considering their options.
