A Janesville man is recovering from injuries sustained in a fatal vehicle crash this weekend in Door County.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office says 75-year-old Bruce Lamb was driving a 2019 Lincoln MKC when it crossed the center line of Highway 42 in the village of Sister Bay Sunday afternoon.
His SUV struck a 2019 Buick Encore head on, which caused injuries to all six occupants in the two vehicles. 89-year-old Rita Bloedel of Sturgeon Bay, who was a passenger in the Buick, died as a result of her injuries.
The state highway was closed for several hours while Wisconsin State Patrol officers reconstructed the crash scene. Police have not reported the seriousness of the other injuries, and the crash remains under investigation.
