The long time driving force behind a Janesville based non-profit is stepping down. Everyone Cooperating to Help Others Executive Director Karen Lisser is retiring. Under Lisser’s leadership, ECHO has grown from a small grass roots organization started by local churches to an essential social service agency serving one in five residents in Janesville. ECHO’s support includes food, housing, and other basic human needs for the most vulnerable members of the community. A celebration to salute Lisser’s 25-years of dedicated service is being planned.
