Visitors to Lion’s Beach in Janesville are being warned about water quality. The Recreation Division warns of elevated bacteria levels in the swimming area. Water samples are taken each week to monitor E. Coli bacteria and sent to the State Hygiene Lab in Madison for testing. The results fall in a range still considered safe for swimming, but requiring public notice.
