A 56-year-old Janesville man is facing a 5th Operating While Intoxicated charge. Janesville police say a patrol officer was stopped on Center Avenue at Delavan Drive about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, when an out-of-control pick-up narrowly missed his squad car and continued south of Center Avenue. The officer stopped the vehicle shortly after at the intersection of South Terrace and Drake Streets. Authorities say the officer could smell intoxicants coming from the driver, Chris M. Reynolds, who agreed to a series of standardized field sobriety tests. Officers say a preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit. Reynolds was also arrested on a Reckless Driving charge.
