Over 500 full-time employees are starting their new jobs at the Amazon fulfillment center in Beloit.
The online retail giant officially opened its local facility for business on Sunday and started taking in product.
Workers at 3150 Colley Road in Beloit will pack and ship large items for distribution throughout the region.
Amazon met its promise of hiring 500 employees and has more positions to fill.
The company boasts its starting wage of $15 an hour with comprehensive benefits and paid leave available.
They also invested in COVID-19 health measures at the Beloit facility, including PPE, thermal cameras and safety audits.
Amazon said the Beloit fulfillment center is coded as JVL1 based on the nearest airport that meets their needs.
