The help wanted sign may be going up at the Rock County District Attorney’s Office. D.A. David O’Leary says he’s losing three of his most experienced prosecutors to retirement. Among them, Deputy D.A. Perry Folts after 37 years of service, Assistant D.A. Scott Dirks with 27-years experience, and Assistant D.A. Kate Buker after more than four-decades on the job. O’Leary now faces the challenge of training less experienced attorney’s, in a pandemic influenced legal system, with little or no face-to-face courtroom activity.
