Before coming to Janesville seven-years ago, the longest City Manager Mark Freitag ever lived in the same place was his four-years at West Point. Freitag confides his time in Janesville has been great for him and his family, but he has recently applied for at least two positions elsewhere. Freitag admits part of his motivation is a desire for a new challenge and greater responsibility. He says his job search is more professional curiosity at this point.
