Governor Evers limits indoor public gatherings to 25 percent capacity

Bars, restaurants and other businesses will be limited to 25 percent capacity for all indoor gatherings effective Thursday morning.
Governor Tony Evers directed Department of Health Services Secretary-designee Andrea Palm to issue a new emergency order to limit the spread of COVID-19.
The governor also announced $100 million of new funding to support Wisconsin small businesses, including $50 million added to the state’s “We’re All In” grant program.
The order only applies to indoor spaces that are open to the public. It does not apply to private events and ceremonies such as weddings or funerals.
Schools, child-care programs, health care centers, government facilities and religious or political events are also exempt.
The order will remain in effect until November 6.
DHS created a frequently asked questions document about the new order to try and reduce potential confusion.
