Janesville charity to open new thrift store

gifts-2

Jansville’s newest thrift store may help a local charity guide homeless men back to a productive life.  Gifts Men’s Shelter Manager Dave Ellis says the thrift store, in the old Blackbridge Bowl just off Milton Avenue, will provide a revenue stream to help fund the charity’s growing programs.  Ellis says the money generated will also help maintain their relatively new permanent shelter on North Washington Street.  The thrift store will feature gently used clothing and household goods.  It is expected to open the first week of November.
