Wisconsin Doctors are calling on President Donald Trump to cancel his planned rally in Janesville Saturday.

Dr. Bob Freedland with the Committee to Protect Medicare says COVID-19 cases have shot up in Rock County, with the highest number of new cases, hospitalizations and positivity rate recorded this week.

Dr. Ann Helms with the Committee to Protect Medicare says rallies like the one planned for 6:00 p.m. Saturday at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport continue to put people at risk. As many as 40% of people with COVID-19 don’t show any symptoms.

Guests who registered for the Trump rally at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport agreed to a waiver that says they voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
