Voters in the School District of Janesville approve a pair of referendums.
A facilities referendum that would increase the property taxes on a $100,000 home by a flat rate of $5 starting at the end of 2021 passed on a 67.02% to 32.98% margin.
A second $37 million operations referendum that would increase the tax bill on a $100,000 home by $40 each year over its four year life span starting at the end of 2021 passed on a 55.17% to 44.83% margin.
In a statement members of the School Board that they are committed to the education priorities of the district and to making the most of every single dollar invested by residents into their public schools.
