A 34-year-old Janesville man and 41-year-old Milton woman face Operating While Intoxicated charges after being involved in two separate crashes in the same place on the same night. Janesville Police Lieutenant Todd Kleisner says an officer was assisting a stalled motorist about 9:30 p.m. Monday on the Center Avenue Bridge when a vehicle slammed into her parked squad car. Kleisner says after police closed the bridge to investigate, another driver attempted to go around the squad cars and crashed into a bridge abutment. As a result, Lucas Rognholt and Nicole Petitt both face OWI charges. Kleisner adds the officer did suffer a minor back injury, but is already back on patrol.
