A local non-profit serving families facing homelessness hopes to spread some holiday cheer while raising money to provide shelter, food, clothing, and life skills.

Family Promise of Greater Beloit Board President Beth Gliebe says a new holiday light tree is being installed November 28th in the empty lot across from the Ironworks Hotel.

Gliebe says lights will be added to the tree as donations come in with a goal of $5000.

Gliebe says visitors to tree will see a banner with a QR code to easily make donations.
