Northside Intermediate School in Milton is evacuated Wednesday due to reports of a natural gas smell in the building.
According to a district spokesperson, the fire department determined that there were no dangerous gasses and that the problem was due to an exhaust issue with the HVAC system.
While there were no students in the building at the time, the evacuation did cause a disruption in virtual learning for some students as teaching staff had to leave the building and continue working form off-site locations.
The building is expected to reopen Thursday morning.
