An electrical problem is being blamed for a residential fire Tuesday night in Beloit. Firefighters responded about 9:30 p.m. to a home in the 1700 block of Indian Road. Firefighters say smoke could be seen coming from the roof line of the two story residence. The occupants escaped before firefighters arrived. The fire was extinguished quickly. Firefighters cleared the scene by 11:00 p.m.
