A single vehicle crash in the Town of La Prairie kills one unidentified female.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office reported the crash at around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday on South Van Allen Road just north of East Maple Lane.
First responders arrived to find a vehicle in a ditch, fully engulfed in flames.
Investigators believe she was traveling southbound on Van Allen Road but they are not yet sure what caused the SUV to leave the roadway and collide with a tree.
The sheriff’s office and medical examiner were still working to identify the victim and notify family members as of Tuesday night.
