Janesville Police are investigating a traffic accident involving a pedestrian on the city’s north side. Police say it happened a little before 10:00 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Blackbridge Road and Milton Avenue. Police report a vehicle hit a woman, who was not in a crosswalk, on Milton Avenue. A police officer arriving on scene provided emergency lifesaving measures, but the victim’s injuries are described as extremely serious. The motorist remained and police say was very helpful. The intersection was closed for several hours while police investigated.
