Firefighters were called to two-story duplex in the 1400 block of Church Street at 10:02 p.m. Monday. Officials say the fire appears to have started in the ceiling vent of a first floor bathroom and worked up the inside of the walls to the attic. Firefighters stopped the blaze before it burned through the roof, but damage is estimated at $60 thousand. No one was reported injured. The landlord is helping the four adults and five children find a place to stay.
