If it’s eventually approved by the City Council, Janesville could be one of only two cities in the state with a transportation utility.
City Finance Director Max Gaggin says at a special meeting Thursday afternoon he will present the council with an overview of the annual street rehabilitation program as well as three different transportation utility options.
Gaggin says the City can’t afford to keep up with it’s current street rehabilitation program of 12 miles a year under the current funding sources.
