In a joint news release, Green County Sheriff Jeff Skatrud and Albany Police Chief Robert Ritter say the child was born last Tuesday at a home in Albany and taken away by the infant’s father. The child was reported missing Saturday. Officials are releasing few other details, but say the infant was found dead in southern Wisconsin. They add search volunteers are no longer needed and law enforcement is no longer looking for a gray Chevrolet Equinox.
