A local college has a tasty way to help commemorate Black History Month. Blackhawk Technical College Foundation Director Lisa Hurda says the Soul Food Luncheon is a fundraiser supporting scholarships for students of color. Hurda calls the luncheon as important as ever considering the events of the last year. She says this year’s Soul Food Luncheon is set for February 23rd, but will need to be curb-side pick-up because of the pandemic.
