United Way announces latest COVID Action Fund grants

Three local charities have a little more money to help those in need during the pandemic. The United Way Blackhawk Region is doling out the money as part of its fifth round of Action Fund grants.  United Way President and CEO Mary Fanning-Penny says more than $100 thousand in Action Fund grants have been awarded since the program began last March.  Fanning-Penny says the latest round of grants includes $10,000  to Latino Service Providers Coalition, slightly more than $5000 to Family Promise of Greater Beloit, and $4200 to Head start.
