Democrats in the Wisconsin legislature work to back up the Governor’s latest mask mandate with legislation that would circumvent Republican claims that Tony Evers is overstepping his bounds.
State Representative Mark Spreitzer of Beloit says if Republicans are not opposed to masks they can vote for the bill.
The legislation would create a statewide mask order that would remain in affect until President Joe Biden declares that the public health emergency is over.
This week the State legislature overturned the statewide mask mandate Evers’ issued in August and the Governor responded by issuing a new mask mandate.
