A local health system is easing some visitor restrictions. Beloit Health System says the visitor policy is being expanded as a result of a sustained downward trend of COVID-19 hospitalization rates. In general, BHS will now allow “one support person” in the emergency department, for patients having ambulatory surgery, for patients having an outpatient procedure, or for critical intensive care. The policy update will also allow one support person per non-COVID inpatient hospitalization. Visitors are reminded to refrain from bringing any items like food, gifts, and flowers.
