Chicago man accused of shooting at snow plow driver in Janesville

Janesville Police arrest a 25-year-old Chicago man accused of shooting at a snow plow driver who was clearing the Golden Corral Restaurant parking lot.

According to a news release, officers were called to the business on the 3100 block of Wellington Court just before 4:30 Monday morning on the report of an armed subject.

Arriving officers located the suspect near a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Chicago and he was armed.

After initially retreating to the vehicle, officers made contact with the suspect and he eventually exited the car without the gun and was taken into custody. The gun was located inside the vehicle.

The snow plow driver was not hurt as the bullet struck the door, just below the drivers side window.

The suspect has been identified as Va Clan Na’eem Thomas. He faces tentative charges of attempted homicide and operating a motor vehicle without owners consent.
