Pandemic or not, the City of Janesville plans to lobby for local fiscal control, fair and equitable distribution of state shared revenue, fully funding the payment for municipal services program, and providing incentives for electric vehicle charging stations.

Communications Specialist Nick Faust says this year the annual legislative roundtable with state legislators will happen virtually on March 12th.

Faust says the purpose of the upcoming roundtable discussion is to allow City staff to present why these issues matter and provide a forum for state legislators, City Councilmembers and staff, and other community leaders to discuss the issues and work towards legislative change.

Faust says the public is encouraged to watch the event as it happens from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on March 12th under the meetings tab on the City’s website.
