Beloit police report the death of an 82-year-old Beloit man in “what appears to be a tragic accident.”
Family members of the victim found him in Turtle Creek near Moccasin Trail Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators believe the man slid down an embankment before falling into the water.
Police do not suspect any foul play, and they have not released the name of the victim for his family’s privacy.
The exact cause of death is still pending an autopsy.
