Janesville police close Highway 51 for nearly three hours in response to a serious crash.
Officers and fire fighters responded to the collision near the intersection of Knilans Road, north of the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport, just before 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police kept the roadway clear for medical helicopters to land and transport patients.
Witnesses saw a pickup truck and minivan suffer heavy damage.
Janesville police have not released the number of injured victims or their statuses as of Saturday night, but the investigation is ongoing.
