Local farmer appointed to DATCP board

Janesville area farmer Doug Rebout says he’s looking forward to helping guide state policy as a member of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection Board. The Governor Tuesday announced Rebout’s six-year appointment. The Governor says it’s important to have knowledgeable members for the board considering agricultures more than $100-billion economic impact to the state. Rebout is actively engaged in public and community service already as a member of the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association Board of Directors and the Governor’s Task Force on Climate Change. Rebout was first appointed a few months ago to finish out a previous board members term.
