The Southern Wisconsin Humane Society’s new facility will be smaller than originally planned and the groundbreaking has also been pushed back. Humane Society Executive Director Jim McMullen says staff recently helped with a redesign to “right size” the facility to be more efficient. McMullen says the original designed called for 26-thousand square feet. The new design is about 16-thousand. The groundbreaking will also be later than originally planned. McMullen says delays in the material supply chain have pushed back those plans to late June or early July.
