The Evansville city Council has chosen Community Development Director Jason Sergeant. Mayor Bill Hurtley says Sergeant understands where the city has been, what its current needs are, and brings a sense of humor and pragmatic optimism to city efforts. A news release states Sergeant has been integral in promoting Evansville as a sought-after community in which to live. Sergeant was selected from a group of two dozen candidates in a national search.
