A 45-year-old Janesville man is under arrest in Illinois, accused of holding a woman hostage at gunpoint.
According to an news release from the Kankakee County Sheriff, deputies were dispatched to a motel in Kankakee shortly after 4:00 Friday morning on the report of a kidnapping.
A victim who was bound at the ankles reported that she was able to flee to a nearby motel and call 911.
Deputies located the suspect, Danny S. Parnell, who had an active warrant out of Wisconsin, unconscious in the motel room along with a stolen handgun.
Parnell was arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated kidnapping with a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, and unlawful use of a weapon.
