Janesville police are investigating an early morning armed robbery on the city’s north side. Police say a man with a gun held up the clerk at the Super 8 on Milton Avenue a little after 1:00 a.m. Thursday. Officers say the robber took cash and escaped on a “bmx” style bicycle armed with a black semi automatic handgun. The clerk was not hurt. Police describe the suspect as a white male, 5’10 to 6’00” tall, approximately 150-200lbs, wearing a black sweatshirt with the lettering “CHI6AG0”, black neck gator mask, grey gloves, black pants, and black shoes.
