The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office is releasing the name of the person who was found dead last Wednesday near the Hedberg.
41-year-old Justin W. Rogers was believed to be homeless. A news release from the medical examiner says that preliminary results of the autopsy are pending further study and the cause of death remains under investigation.
A group of homeless people approached a passerby around 6:30 a.m. and asked them to call 911 as Rogers was not responsive.
Janesville Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
