An Iowa-based company purchases the Janesville Jet Center at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport.
Carver Aero closed on the sale from King Capital LLC on June 30 and held a ribbon cutting July 16.
Airport Director Greg Cullen said the company sees a demand for more services on Janesville’s runway, so it plans to expand its offerings to include charter flights and a flight school option.
The Janesville Jet Center is the local airport’s only fueling station, and Cullen said Carver Aero intends to add more maintenance options as well.
The airport has seen more overall use since the beginning of the pandemic, with more frequent small plane takeoffs and landings over the last 15 months.
