Janesville Police are asking for the public to help identify a suspect accused of stealing a purse from a vehicle. Their investigation found that a thief smashed a window of a locked vehicle and took a purse from inside. The car was in the parking lot of the Planet Fitness on Milton Avenue when the theft occurred July 15. Police discovered someone used the victim’s stolen credit card soon after at the Walmart in Beloit. Anyone with information about either crime or the suspect should contact the Janesville police department.
