A local Congressman is promoting a rental assistance program with the hopes it could help landlords hard hit by the President’s extension of a federal eviction moratorium. Second District Congressman Mark Pocan of Black Earth says the program can provide up to 15-months of assistance for renters impacted by the pandemic. Pocan expresses hope the extension of the moratorium will call attention to the program. He says the state is planning to start a media campaign Monday to make renters and landlords aware of the program.
