The Rock County Public Health Department is prepared to administer third doses of the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine if approved that the federal level.
Administrative Services Supervisor Seth Loncar provided an update to members of the media late last week.
Loncar says before boosters can begin, the FDA will need to authorize a third dose and then the CDC will review that evidence and make a final recommendation.
The White House has indicated it plans to offer booster doses at the end of September.
