The Janesville Plan Commission approves an amendment to a conditional use permit in order for Rock County to build an addition to it’s 911 Communications Center on County Highway F.
Associate Planner Jon Wolfrath says the proposed addition is 21,000 square feet.
Rock County Facilities Management Director Brent Sutherland says the roughly 11-million-dollar project would increase efficiencies and better protect the county’s entire computer system.
Sutherland expects construction to start this winter and last about a year.
