The Rock County Public Health Department recommends certain individuals get a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Public Health Officer Katrina Harwood says this goes for the Pfizer vaccine only.
Harwood says the CDC recommends anyone age 65 and older, those living in long-term care facilities, and people with preexisting health conditions receive a booster shot.
Harwood says individuals who don’t have a preexisting heath condition, but work a job that puts them at a high risk may also get a booster shot.
