Congressman promotes worldwide vaccination effort

A U.S. plan to donate the COVID-19 vaccine to the world’s poorest counties gets the support of a local Congressman.  Second District Representative Mark Pocan of Black Earth says a number of other countries are pledging $10 billion to a World Health Organization effort.  Pocan says the U.S. plans to spend twice that.  The Democrat says the effort will help in both diplomatic relations and reducing the potential for deadly variants to develop.
