Assessors from the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group will be reviewing the policies and practices of the Town of Beloit Police Department this week. Town of Beloit Lieutenant LeAnn Jones says WILEAG accreditation is voluntary and a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence. Jones says the police department will have to comply with 242 standards in order to gain accredited status. Town of Beloit Police first became accredited in 2015.
