Veterans of the Global War on Terror are expected to be recognized during ceremonies Thursday at Traxler Park in Janesville. Patriotic Society President Tom Stahura says, considering the U-S withdrawal from Afghanistan this year, these veterans need to know their service is appreciated. Stahura describes the ceremony as short but impressive. He adds, the flag folding ceremony this year will be dedicated to veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan. The Veteran’s Day ceremony is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. in Veterans Plaza, but will be moved to the warming shelter if the weather becomes inclement.
