A former Clinton Village Trustee makes a plea deal in a child sexual assault case. 70-year-old Ronald E. Torkilson pleaded guilty to third-degree sexual assault in a case involving two boys age 14 and 17 from 1997. The case came to light in April when Torkilson was charged after the victims came forward to the Rock County Sheriff’s office. Torkilson was originally charged with two counts of repeated sexual assault of a child. Judge John Wood sentenced Torkilson Wednesday to four years probation and he must register as a sex offender.
