Food is beginning to pile up at the Beloit Public Library. Marketing and Communications Coordinator Amy Mitchell says patrons are donating non-perishable food items as a way to pay down their library fines. Mitchell says patrons will receive one-dollar credit toward their late fines for every food item donated, up to ten dollars. The donations will be passed along to the Beloit Salvation Army. The program runs through the end of the month.
