A local charity works to make the holidays bright for Rock County’s homeless and unaccompanied youth.
Project 16:49 Case Manager Hannah Haakensen says there are two ways the community can help.
Haakensen says Project 16:49 delivers gift bags with personal hygiene items, warm weather clothing, a blanket, ear buds, and gift cards to nearly 200 kids in the local schools.
Haakensen says the youth staying in one of the homes in Janesville and Beloit make a list of items they want and need and community members are welcome to “adopt” them.
