The number of local COVID-19 cases are on the rise.  The Rock County Health Department reports more than one-thousand active cases as of Wednsday.  This high of a figure hasn’t been seen since January.  91 new cases were reported in Rock County on Wednesday.  Rock County’s increase in active case numbers is reflected across the state.  Wisconsin Department of Health Services Chief Medical Officer Ryan Westergaard says people who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 are at a 15-times greater risk of developing a severe case of the disease compared to those who are vaccinated.
