One person is reported dead after an early morning fire in Beloit. Firefighters responded to the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue a little after 4:00 a.m. Friday. A passerby had noticed heavy smoke coming from the two-story home. Upon arrival, firefighters say a deceased adult male was found inside the home. No one else was in the residence at the time of the fire. The home is heavily damaged. The State Fire Marshal and Rock County Medical Examiner Offices are assisting in the investigation.
