A long-time local state legislator is not seeking re-election.
31st Assembly District Representative Amy Loudenbeck announced Tuesday afternoon that after 11 years in the legislature she is not running for a seventh term.
The Clinton Republican has served for the past four legislative sessions on the powerful Joint Finance Committee, and as Vice Co-Chair since 2018. She is the current Chair of the State Capitol and Executive Residence Board and Co-Chair of the Joint Information Policy and Technology Committee. Loudenbeck chaired the Assembly Committee on Workforce Development during her second term and has been a member of 11 other Assembly committees.
Loudenbeck says an announcement on her future plans is forthcoming.
